On February 27, 2026 a meeting was held between the Director of the Agency for the Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda and the General Director of the Export Development Center “QazTrade” of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Aldazhar Aitmukhamed.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and prospects of cooperation between the Export Agency and JSC Export Development Center “QazTrade”.
Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the most important foreign trade partners of Tajikistan, where bilateral trade turnover in 2024 amounted to 1.293 billion US dollars. According to the plans, we need to increase trade turnover between the countries to 2 billion US dollars annually. In this regard, we need further strengthening in order to increase mutual trade turnover.
Also at the meeting, the parties discussed the Roadmap for cooperation of the Tajik-Kazakh joint venture "Trade and Investment Company "KazTrade Tajikistan" for 2025 and the possibility of exporting early onions to the markets of Kazakhstan.
Aldazharov Aitmukhamed fully supported the proposals of the Export Agency and expressed readiness to cooperate in accordance with the Roadmap and search for partners for the import of early onions to the markets of Kazakhstan.
In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue the cooperation process and take specific measures for the practical implementation of the proposed initiatives.
