On September 17, 2026, on the sidelines of the First Summit of Heads of State “Central Asia – Republic of Korea” in Seoul, a meeting was held between Bahrom? Sir? [correction: Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda], Director of the Agency for Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and Ms. Miss Yong-Ah-Doh, Vice President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
During the meeting, Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda noted that Tajikistan has significant export potential for environmentally friendly goods and products, including early-season and seasonal fruits and vegetables, grapes, apples, fruit juices, honey, nuts, dried fruits, as well as industrial products, particularly cotton fiber, aluminum, and other types of products, and can export them to the Republic of Korea alongside Southeast Asian countries.
At the same time, the meeting addressed the issue of attracting investment from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) for the construction and commissioning of an agro-logistics center in the country. It was noted that the establishment of such centers would make it possible to package high-quality products in compliance with Korean standards and export them to the Korean and third-country markets at mutually beneficial prices.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ms. Miss Yong-Ah-Doh expressed her interest in considering the implementation of the aforementioned project and expanding cooperation.
