On August 20 this year, the first International Food Industry Forum and Food Industry Exhibition – Tajikistan 2026 were held in Dushanbe. As part of the event, during Session 4 entitled “Global Trends in the Food Industry: Integration into International Supply Chains and Innovations in Packaging Design,” Deputy Director of the Agency for Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdugaffor Jamolzoda delivered a presentation.
It was emphasized that under current global market conditions, modern exports depend not only on the volume of shipments, but also on the trust of foreign buyers, strict compliance with international safety standards, transparency in product traceability, and the reliability of supplies. In this regard, the introduction of a “digital passport for export products” and QR codes on packaging was proposed, enabling foreign buyers to obtain reliable information about the place of production, product quality, and the entire supply chain.
It was also noted that the development of modern environmentally friendly packaging, the operation of cold-chain systems, and the establishment of logistics centers and export clusters are key factors in enhancing the competitiveness of domestic products in foreign markets.
