On August 13, 2026, a meeting was held between Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda, Director of the Agency for еxport under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and a representative of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation of the Islamic Development Bank (ITFC).
During the meeting, the Director of the Agency for Export noted that necessary measures are being taken to provide concessional financing to stimulate the development of cotton production and the industrial processing of cotton, the sustainable development of which remains under the constant and direct attention of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation. In particular, close cooperation has been established between the Agency for Export and the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation of the Islamic Development Bank (ITFC).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of the Agreement between Tajikistan and ITFC in the cotton sector and reviewed the Framework Cooperation Agreement for 2026–2029, emphasizing the importance of further developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
