On March 13, 2025 in Bishkek with the participation of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan his excellency Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan his excellency Sadir Japarov, as well as with the participation of official delegations the high-level meetings and negotiations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan were held.
During the negotiations, special attention was paid to the expansion of trade and economic relations and the use of the potential of both countries in this area.
In this regard, the heads of state decided to establish an Intergovernmental Council headed by the prime ministers. The new institution was tasked with increasing the volume of bilateral trade to $500 million.
Also, the Director of the Agency for Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjiddinzoda Bakhriddin participated in the official delegation where a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Agency for Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State Institution “Center for Development and Promotion of Export “Kyrgyz-Export” under the Ministry of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of increasing the export of industrial and agricultural products to Kyrgyzstan.
