On the sidelines of the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, to the People’s Republic of China, which began on 11 May 2026, 31 new cooperation documents were signed following high-level meetings and negotiations between Tajikistan and China.
The signed documents cover various areas of cooperation and further strengthen the favorable foundation for expanding trade, economic, scientific and technical, customs, cultural, and humanitarian ties between the two countries.
In particular, as part of this important event, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of export was signed between the Agency for Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Export Development Bureau under the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.
In addition, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Agency for Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and China Media Corporation was also signed, which may provide a favorable basis for broader promotion of Tajikistan’s export opportunities and for strengthening information and promotional activities in the Chinese market.
The signing of new cooperation documents, especially in the field of export, demonstrates the growing attention of the parties to the development of mutually beneficial trade, the promotion of domestic products to new markets, and the strengthening of institutional ties between the relevant bodies of the two countries.
