On May 27, 2025, a meeting was held between Mr. Bahriddin Sirojiddinzoda, Director of the Agency for Export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mr. Umut Acar, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation.
Mr. Sirojiddinzoda emphasized that the Republic of Türkiye is one of Tajikistan’s key trade and economic partners, playing a significant role in the country’s import and export activities. To further enhance bilateral trade, we could draw on Turkish experience to establish a centralized agro-logistics center in the country, which would allow us to package high-quality, internationally standardized products and export them to third markets at mutually favorable prices.
The guests found the proposal of great interest and expressed their full support for its implementation. Additionally, Mr. Acar noted that the two sides could utilize Turkish expertise to cultivate specific types of agricultural products in selected regions of Tajikistan for export purposes.
In conclusion, both parties proposed to continue cooperation and to take concrete steps toward the practical implementation of the proposed initiatives.
