In order to implement the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, and to ensure the implementation of the indicators of the State Program for the Development of Export of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2021-2025, the Agency for export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan is taking necessary measures to stimulate exports, ensure the diversity of export-oriented production, and simplify trade procedures.
At the initiative of the Agency for export under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the executive authority of the Khatlon region, within the framework of implementing the instructions of the Leader of the Nation, esteemed Emomali Rahmon, regarding the rational and efficient use of land and the development of agricultural exports, the volume of fresh product exports abroad is rapidly increasing.
In the third stage of seasonal exports, more than 15 cargo trucks carrying over 250 tons of agricultural products, including early onions, cabbage, beets, and apricots, were sent to the markets of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. In this process, the leadership of the Agency for export and the Khatlon region participated, providing specific recommendations to ensure export quality and timely delivery.
Due to changing weather conditions and heavy rainfall, starting from April 15, 2025, the State Unitary Enterprise "Tojagropromexport" of the Agency for export organized a centralized collection of onions, ensuring storage reserves at recommended consumer standards to prevent price increases in the domestic market. As a result, more than 2,820 tons of onions were purchased from farming households and exported abroad. It should be noted that this figure is not final, and considering the abundance of early products, further exports will be arranged.
Additionally, the branch of the State Unitary Enterprise "Tojagropromexport" in the Bobojon Gafurov district exported 670 tons of agricultural products, including onions, apricots, apples, cauliflower, cucumbers, zucchini, and dried fruits.
Overall, the Agency for export has exported 3,598.6 tons of agricultural products and 17,042 tons of industrial products to Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Turkey this year, amounting to 28 million 781 thousand somoni.
The main goal of these initiatives is to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State regarding the increase in agricultural exports abroad.
