On July 24, 2026, at the initiative of the Executive Body of State Authority of Khatlon Province, in coordination with the Executive Body of State Authority of Shamsiddin Shohin District, a provincial scientific and practical seminar entitled “The Development of Beekeeping as a Factor in Improving the Living Standards of the Population” was held in Shamsiddin Shohin District.
The seminar was attended by Muzaffar Mirzozoda, First Deputy Chairman of Khatlon Province, as well as scientists and experts from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan, and beekeepers from across Khatlon Province.
The seminar commenced in the conference hall of the Executive Body of State Authority of Shamsiddin Shohin District. In his welcoming remarks, the First Deputy Chairman of the district warmly greeted the participants and provided an overview of the current state of the agricultural sector, with particular emphasis on the development of beekeeping in the district.
The seminar was officially opened by Muzaffar Mirzozoda, First Deputy Chairman of Khatlon Province. Scientists and experts from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Tajikistan then delivered presentations on the development of the beekeeping sector, its current achievements, existing challenges, and possible solutions.
Following the presentations and discussions, the participants visited local beekeeping farms, where they became acquainted with their activities, exchanged professional experience, and offered practical recommendations aimed at promoting the further development of the beekeeping industry.
