Today, we stand on the threshold of celebrating one of the greatest and most sacred occasions in the modern history of our ancient nation—the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
State independence has marked a significant stage in the development of our national and historical identity, the revival of our customs and traditions, and the advancement of science and literature. It represents a glorious and proud era in our national culture, a period of intellectual growth and creative achievement. Thanks to independence, the spiritual identity of the Tajik nation gained official political recognition.
Among the most valuable achievements of Tajikistan during the 35 years of independence are the preservation of the country's territorial integrity, the establishment of a strong foundation for statehood, the restoration of national unity, the successful introduction of our country to the international community, and steady progress in social and economic development.
It is important to note that for more than a thousand years, our people continuously struggled to restore their national state and achieve independence. By the will of destiny, our generation has been granted the opportunity to fulfill the long-cherished dream of the Tajik nation by establishing the independent Republic of Tajikistan.
The foremost responsibility of the younger generation is to strengthen our country's independence and to educate young people in the spirit of unity, patriotism, national pride, loyalty to our historical and cultural traditions, and respect for universal human values.
For the people of Tajikistan, independence is a symbol of freedom, national identity, and the foundation of a modern state.
The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, stated: "Independence is the greatest achievement in the modern history of the Tajik nation, determining the destiny of our state and our people today and in the future."
Therefore, we, the youth, have the responsibility to cherish this great blessing as the apple of our eye, remain politically vigilant, raise honorable and patriotic citizens, contribute to the prosperity of our homeland, actively participate in supporting the policies of the state and government, and serve as worthy role models for society.
