EVERYWHERE IS A GATHERING OF NAVRUZ...
Today, March 22, 2026, a magnificent cultural event dedicated to the International Navruz holiday was held in the Dahbed village of the Tehray rural community in the Shamsiddin Shohin district.
The ceremony was attended by the Permanent Representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Shamsiddin Shohin district — General Director of OJSC "Tajik Aluminum Company," Shuhrat Juraboy Sharifzoda, representatives of the Executive Body of State Power of Khatlon Region, the Deputy Head of the State Institution for Road Management of the Kulob Region, the Chairman of Shamsiddin Shohin district, Zafar Shamsuddin Gulzoda, heads of district organizations and institutions, the district's public figures, and numerous guests.
Initially, the district chairman and the guest delegation visited the exhibitions showcasing the achievements and festive "dastarkhans" of the rural communities and district institutions, which embodied the ancient traditions and customs of the auspicious Navruz.
On this day, the Executive Body of State Power of the district also provided financial assistance and gifts to 11 orphans and one newlywed couple.
Following this, the formal part of the district-level Navruz celebration began. The Chairman of the district, Honorable Zafar Shamsuddin Gulzoda, delivered a congratulatory speech to the attendees. It was noted that since the early days of State Independence, under the wise and far-sighted leadership of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, all significant and timely measures have been implemented to preserve national values and keep ancient ancestral traditions alive. The grand celebration of Navruz, its attainment of international status, and the global recognition of Tajikistan as a civilized nation are testaments to the patriotic initiatives of the Leader of the Nation in protecting national heritage.
Additionally, the permanent representative of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the district, Shohiyon Yusuf, extended his congratulations to the attendees and all residents of the Shamsiddin Shohin district. It was emphasized that the district's achievements from last year's Navruz to the present prove that under the leadership of the Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, this mountainous district is becoming more beautiful and prosperous day by day.
