The Press Center of the Border Troops of the State Committee for National Security of the Republic of Tajikistan reports that, due to the complex political and economic situation in the region and the world, the migration of foreign citizens to our country has increased.
A large number of foreign citizens reside within the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan for various reasons, and unfortunately, some of them have entered the country illegally. A certain portion of foreign citizens grossly violate the established rules of residence.
Furthermore, during inspections, the following violations of the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan by foreign citizens were identified: illegal trafficking of narcotic substances, promotion and dissemination of extremist movement ideologies, submission of false information and forged documents to obtain refugee status, violation of migration regulations, possession of citizenship of a third country, using the territory of Tajikistan as a transit country, and similar offenses.
In this regard, measures are currently being considered, in accordance with national legislation, to expel them from the territory of Tajikistan. In particular, the expulsion of a certain number of Afghan citizens is for the same reason.
