On these joyful moments, when the ancestral New Year of our forefathers—blessed Navruz—has arrived in independent Tajikistan, I sincerely congratulate and extend my best wishes to all compatriots and farmers on the occasion of this auspicious celebration.
Navruz has an eternal connection with water and land, our homeland, and the spirit of our civilizational ancestors. Its customs and traditions carry symbols that, from ancient times to the present day, have accompanied the life of our cultured, development-oriented, humane, and tolerant people.
The proud people of Tajikistan have celebrated Navruz since ancient times with extensive festivities, showcasing their finest skills, talents, and noble human qualities.
Navruz, which in the Republic of Tajikistan has been revived in all its richness and diversity thanks to state independence and the noble initiatives of the Founder of Peace and National Unity—the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon—has now become a national and state holiday of the Tajik people and a symbol of national identity, pride, unity, and solidarity.
The contribution of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, as the head of the Tajik state in reviving and restoring the national holiday of Navruz is remarkable and significant. It is precisely through his efforts that Navruz has gained international recognition.
Thus, with the globalization of Navruz, its mission and role in expanding cooperation and cultural exchange, strengthening mutual understanding between nations, and promoting peace and stability among the peoples of the world have been further enhanced.
The recognition of Navruz as an international holiday by the United Nations is evidence that the people of the world respect this truly cultural and humanitarian tradition and recognize it as a means of peace and stability, purity and sincerity, beauty and awakening.
One of the other virtues of Navruz as a celebration of the bond between humans and nature is the expansion of constructive and development-oriented activities, planting and nurturing trees, and establishing gardens.
Today, as nature comes alive and the season of planting and farming begins, we can confidently say that our country’s farmers, through their dedicated labor, strive to expand agricultural areas, orchards, and production in order to ensure the nation’s food security.
The development of unused lands, the rational use of water and land resources, achieving abundant harvests, increasing domestic production, and other development efforts are among the tasks that each of us must carry out in order to make our beloved homeland—the free and independent Tajikistan—more prosperous, beautiful, and advanced.
We hope that this year’s spring and Navruz will bring happiness and prosperity to our land and will grant the people of the country, including farmers, new successes, achievements, and abundant blessings.
Once again, I sincerely congratulate you all on the occasion of the International Navruz Holiday.
May Navruz bring to each of your homes messages of happiness, fortune, and renewed joy and prosperity!
