Participation of the Delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture and the International Green Week – 2026 in Berlin

From 14 to 17 January 2026, a series of events were held in Berlin within the framework of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture and the International Exhibition “Green Week – 2026”, in which the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan took part under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Nigina Anvari.

According to the programme, the Tajik delegation participated in the meeting of heads of official delegations, the official opening ceremony of the Global Forum for Food and Agriculture, as well as the opening of the International Green Week – 2026 exhibition.

On the sidelines of the event, bilateral meetings were held between the leadership of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and high-level representatives of the World Bank, as well as deputy ministers of agriculture of Germany and Poland. During these meetings, the parties discussed the expansion of cooperation, attraction of investments, and implementation of joint projects in the agricultural sector.

The participation of the Tajik delegation in the high-level panel session of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), dedicated to water and food issues, became one of the key events of the forum. In the speech delivered, Tajikistan’s global initiatives in the areas of water resources management, climate change, and ensuring food security were presented.

Within the framework of meetings and sessions, representatives of foreign countries were invited to participate in the 35th FAO Regional Conference for Europe and Central Asia, which will be held in May of the current year in Dushanbe.

The Republic of Tajikistan also participated in the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the International Green Week – 2026, presenting more than 120 types of organic agricultural products and handicrafts. The Tajik exhibition pavilion, designed in a national style, has already been visited by more than 2,000 guests.
