Today, the people of Tajikistan and the citizens of our beloved homeland — the Republic of Tajikistan — with a sense of gratitude and high patriotic consciousness, solemnly and with great sincerity, celebrate a historic and sacred holiday — President’s Day. This day is observed with special grandeur, deep respect, and heartfelt devotion.
The historical significance and role of this day in the present and future life of the state and the Tajik people carry a special symbolic and monumental meaning. It was precisely on this day — 16 November 1992 — that the 16th Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan took place. This session became a historic gift and a message of salvation for the Tajik people, opening the path to stability and becoming the foundation for overcoming crisis, as well as a great blessing of destiny for the people of Tajikistan in the person of the devoted, patriotic, courageous, and determined leader of the state, the respected Emomali Rahmon.
It should be noted that the establishment of 16 November as “President’s Day” is recognized for the Tajik people as a fateful date, defining the future sustainable development of Tajikistan and strengthening confidence in a bright future.
In this regard, without doubt, every citizen of Tajikistan today considers themselves among the happiest people on Earth. Thanks to the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, the Tajik people have achieved full state independence and directed their efforts toward the development of science, education, culture, history, construction, and the formation of intellectual potential for future generations.
The great Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, is the eternal pride of the Tajik people. His outstanding merits as a historical figure, peacemaker, architect of strategic goals, world-class politician, initiator of global solutions, and compassionate leader are widely recognized and firmly rooted in the hearts of the people.
His state wisdom, political professionalism, peace-loving nature, and humanism have received international recognition. World leaders and politicians of major states express deep respect and high appreciation for the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
One of the greatest achievements of the Leader of the Nation is the establishment of national unity and peace in the modern history of the Tajik people, which stands as an unprecedented historical event and today serves as an example for politicians and a subject of academic research by international institutions.
Indeed, achieving complete national harmony was the result of outstanding service, selflessness, courage, knowledge, and wisdom of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon. He saved the people from collapse, the nation from disappearance, and the state from destruction.
After the achievement of peace and unity, the strengthening of state institutions, the implementation of large-scale national programs and reforms, and comprehensive support for the population, solid foundations for modern socio-economic development were established. Major infrastructure projects, construction of international-standard roads, bridges and tunnels, urban development, restoration of historical and cultural heritage, and promotion of national culture worldwide all confirm the achieved progress.
Agriculture is one of the key sectors of the economy and remains at the center of state policy in the Republic of Tajikistan. Thanks to reforms, rational land use, introduction of modern technologies, multiple harvest cycles (2–3 crops per year), and implementation of state programs, the sector demonstrates stable development.
A review of the achievements of the Tajik people during the years of independence shows that development across all sectors of the economy and social life is unique and significantly surpasses the achievements of the 70-year period prior to independence.
The devoted service and historic achievements of the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, serve as an example for future generations. Preserving and honoring these achievements is a primary duty of every citizen of Tajikistan.
