Overall, agricultural producers of the city plan to harvest more than 40,000 tons of high-quality rice this year, which will not only ensure domestic supply but also allow for export to foreign markets.
During the visit, the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, also became familiar with the activities of the dehkan farm “Anguri Somon.” It was reported that the farm has 500 hectares of vineyards, where various grape varieties are cultivated under favorable climatic conditions, mainly intended for export and raisin production. Each year, a rich and high-quality harvest is obtained.
This year, the vineyard harvest is expected to be abundant, and farmers plan to collect more than 20,000 tons of high-quality grapes, of which 10,000 tons will be exported, alongside supply to the domestic market.
It was also reported that the total area of vineyards in Tursunzoda amounts to 5,300 hectares, and in 2024 grape growers exported more than 32,000 tons of grapes. Given this year’s abundant harvest, exporters plan to increase exports to 40,000 tons.
During the inspection of a corn field cultivated for grain, it was reported to the Head of State that after harvesting the main crops this year, maize was sown on more than 780 hectares. The crop condition is good, and farmers expect a high yield.
At the end of the visit, the President also visited the dehkan farm “Khoji Nemat,” which specializes in viticulture and seedling production.

The farm also operates a cold storage facility with a capacity of 1,200 tons, intended for storing grapes and other fruits and vegetables for year-round sale.
The Head of State also observed the beginning of the grape drying season for raisin production. It was reported that in recent years, farmers of Tursunzoda have successfully adopted this practice. In particular, last year they exported 1,500 tons of raisins.
It was also noted that 4–4.5 kg of grapes are used to produce 1 kg of raisins, and the profit from raisins is almost twice as high as from fresh grapes.
Overall, according to official information, agricultural producers of Tursunzoda make a significant contribution to increasing agricultural output, implementing the Program for the Development of Horticulture, Viticulture and Citrus Farming in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025–2029, and ensuring national food security. In particular, to ensure year-round stability in the consumer market, 77 hectares of greenhouses for vegetable production and cold storage facilities with a capacity of 28,000 tons of fruits and vegetables have been established.
During discussions with local officials and farmers, the Head of State gave instructions and recommendations on further increasing production, expanding the best practices of Tursunzoda farmers to other regions of the country, strengthening export capacity, and creating food reserves for the winter period, primarily for the capital city of Dushanbe.
