A press conference on the results of the Committee's activities for 2024 was held in the Committee's meeting hall, dedicated to the development of local government bodies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the participation of media representatives.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Chairman of the Committee, Sharifjon Jumazoda, presented the results of the activities for 2024, noting that the organization of press conferences had significantly strengthened cooperation and interaction between government bodies and the media. This important event contributed to improving the information space and access to official information, ensuring transparency in the activities of government agencies, and also helped address social issues of the population.
During the question-and-answer session, the results of the implementation of socio-economic development programs for cities and districts were announced. He emphasized that high indicators had been achieved in ensuring the effectiveness of local government bodies' activities within the framework of socio-economic development programs for Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO), Sogd, and Khatlon regions, as well as cities and districts under national jurisdiction for the years 2021-2025. The implementation of planned projects reached high levels in cities such as Tursunzade (91.6%), Gulishtan (91%), Bokhtar (87.1%), Vakhsh (89.8%), Rasht (88.9%), Tajikabad (88.5%), Muminabad (85%), Dusti (84.8%), Khoroson (83.7%), Khujand (82%), Rushon (80.3%), Jayhun (74.7%), Ain (76.1%), Bobojon Ghafurov (69%), and Dangara (66.7%). Other cities and districts also achieved good implementation levels, contributing to the development of the economy and improving the living standards of the population.
