On September 23, 2026, a working meeting on the implementation of the third phase of the “Development of Villages of Tajikistan” project in the pilot mahallas was held in the meeting hall of the local executive body of state authority of Shahrinav District, with the participation of Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzod, Chairman of the Local Development Committee under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The meeting was attended by responsible representatives of the Committee and the leadership of the local executive body of state authority of Shahrinav District. The participants discussed issues related to the progress of the project, completed activities, and further tasks.
The “Development of Villages of Tajikistan” project is being implemented with financial support from the non-governmental organization “Saemaul Undong” of the Republic of Korea and is aimed at developing local infrastructure and improving the living conditions of residents of the pilot mahallas.
Within the framework of the project, the mahallas of Fayzbaksh, Gulreza, Navbahor, and Hayoti Nav in Shahrinav District were selected as pilot mahallas. The first and second phases of the project have been implemented, while activities related to the third phase are currently underway.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that close cooperation among the responsible structures, local authorities, and project representatives is essential for the effective and high-quality implementation of the project. Issues related to financing, the implementation of infrastructure works, and the progress of planned activities were also discussed.
In his remarks, Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzod, Chairman of the Committee, emphasized that the activities planned under the project should be completed to a high standard and within the established deadlines, and, above all, should contribute to improving the living conditions of the population.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the responsible officials were assigned relevant tasks concerning the issues discussed, and appropriate recommendations were provided to ensure the effective continuation of activities under the third phase of the project and to address existing challenges.
Cooperation between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea in the field of local development creates favorable conditions for the implementation of social and infrastructure projects.
