On August 5, 2026, a meeting of the national working group with the activists of Kanibadam City was held at the hall of the Executive Body of State Authority of Kanibadam. The meeting was attended by Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Local Development under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Zufar Ismoilzoda, Deputy Chairman of Sughd Region, and Mr. Davron Zohidzoda, Chairman of Kanibadam City.
The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Chairman and Deputy Chairmen of the city, the Head of the Chairman’s Office, heads of structural units, heads of organizations and institutions, chairpersons of rural jamoats, and chairpersons of neighborhood committees.
The meeting was opened by Mr. Zufar Ismoilzoda, Deputy Chairman of Sughd Region, who explained the purpose and importance of the event and highlighted the key tasks outlined within the framework of implementing the Presidential Order of the Republic of Tajikistan dated March 17, 2026, No. AP-996, as well as preparations for the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Then, Mr. Davron Zohidzoda, Chairman of Kanibadam City, presented detailed information on the progress of implementing Presidential Order No. AP-996 dated March 17, 2026, “On declaring 2026 the Year of Expanding Improvement and Construction Activities and Strengthening National Identity and Self-Awareness,” as well as on measures being taken for comprehensive preparations for the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was noted that improvement works, construction of social and industrial facilities, repair and reconstruction of roads, landscaping, and infrastructure development are continuing in the city.
During the meeting, Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Local Development under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, addressed the content of the Presidential Order and the tasks arising from it. He highlighted ongoing construction and development activities, landscaping efforts, and measures aimed at strengthening national identity and self-awareness among the population.
The Chairman of the Committee positively assessed the activities of local authorities in implementing improvement projects and provided specific instructions and recommendations to responsible officials on further expanding development activities, making effective use of available opportunities, and ensuring that the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan is welcomed with significant achievements.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzoda summarized the results and called on the activists to demonstrate greater responsibility, ensure high-quality implementation of the instructions of the leadership of the state and the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, and actively contribute to improvement and development activities.
At the same time, as part of the working visit, the delegation of the Committee for Local Development’s working group, headed by Chairman Kamoliddin Muminzoda, visited a number of social facilities and industrial enterprises in Kanibadam City. The delegation familiarized itself with improvement and development activities, production processes, implementation of socio-economic development projects, and preparations for the celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
