On August 4, 2026, in accordance with the Presidential Order of the Republic of Tajikistan No. AP-996 dated March 17, 2026, a working meeting was held at the Executive Body of State Authority of Istaravshan City. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Local Development under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and attended by the regional leadership, the city administration, heads of organizations and institutions, community representatives, and other responsible officials of Istaravshan.
Opening the meeting, Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Local Development, emphasized that the Presidential Order, issued within the framework of declaring 2026 the “Year of Expanding Improvement and Construction Activities and Strengthening National Identity and Self-Awareness,” is of great importance for further promoting development initiatives, enhancing civic awareness, strengthening patriotism, and expanding improvement activities throughout the country's cities and districts.
The Chairman of Istaravshan City, Mr. Abdusattor Qodiri, then presented a report on the progress of improvement and development activities in the city. He noted that the city's residents, demonstrating a strong sense of patriotism and supporting the constructive policies of the State and Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, are actively contributing to the achievement of the country's development goals.
During his address, Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzoda, Chairman of the Committee for Local Development, explained the main provisions of Presidential Order No. AP-996 and called on responsible officials to make effective use of all available opportunities to expand improvement and development activities, enhance the quality of public services, develop social infrastructure, and strengthen national identity and civic awareness.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that the effective implementation of the instructions and guidance of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, together with the active participation of state authorities, entrepreneurs, and local residents in improvement and development activities, is of key importance for the sustainable development of Istaravshan, improving the living standards of its residents, and ensuring the country's continued progress.
