On 27 June 2026, the Committee for Local Development under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan hosted a forum dedicated to the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution entitled "International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations (2027–2036)."
The forum was opened by Kamoliddin Muminzod, Chairman of the Committee for Local Development under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan. In his opening remarks, he highlighted the historic significance of the adoption of this resolution and emphasized the outstanding and unprecedented role of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, in advancing global peace initiatives. He noted that these initiatives provide a solid foundation for promoting a culture of peace, educating younger generations in the spirit of humanism, and strengthening global peace and security.
It was further emphasized with confidence that this initiative carries great political, social, and humanitarian significance not only for the Republic of Tajikistan but also for the entire international community.
