On March 4, 2026, a meeting was held between the Chairman of the Committee for Local Development under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzod, and the Head of the International Organization for Migration in Tajikistan, Mr. Viktor Lutenko.
During the meeting, Chairman Kamoliddin Muminzod emphasized that sustainable cooperation with international organizations is one of the key factors in advancing the state policy of local development management.
Mr. Viktor Lutenko noted that the International Organization for Migration is ready to strengthen existing cooperation and implement new programs in the areas of migration, migration management, protection of migrants’ rights, capacity building of local government staff, and support for the socio-economic development of regions.
The meeting was held in a constructive and cooperative atmosphere. Both sides expressed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation and implement joint initiatives aimed at promoting local development in the country.
