On February 12, 2026, a training seminar was held at the “Rumi” Hotel with the participation of the Chairman of the Committee for Local Development, Mr. Kamoliddin Muminzod, the Chairman of Shahrinav District, Mr. Valizoda Abduqodir Isuf, heads of cities and districts of republican subordination, development partners, and staff of the Committee’s central office. The seminar was organized in cooperation with the non-governmental organization “Saemaul Undong” of the Republic of Korea.
The seminar was devoted to the topic: “Exchange of experience from the pilot mahalla projects of Gulreza, Navbahor, Hayoti Nav, and Fayzbakhsh in Shahrinav District in the field of community improvement and development, as well as the presentation of the results achieved in this process.”
According to the seminar program, Chairman Kamoliddin Muminzod first introduced the participants to the agenda and noted that the purpose of the meeting was to strengthen improvement and development activities at the rural level based on the experience and results of the pilot projects, as well as to establish effective functioning of mahallas in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Public Self-Activity Bodies.”
During the seminar, Mr. Muminzod also provided participants with detailed information about the mutually beneficial cooperation between the Committee for Local Development under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the non-governmental organization “Saemaul Undong” of the Republic of Korea.
Afterwards, the Chairman of Shahrinav District, Mr. Valizoda Abduqodir Isuf, delivered a speech on the measures taken by the local executive authorities of Shahrinav District in implementing the project and coordinating the activities of the pilot mahalla committees of Gulreza, Navbahor, Hayoti Nav, and Fayzbakhsh.
In the second part of the seminar, presentations were delivered by the heads of the pilot mahallas of Gulreza, Navbahor, Hayoti Nav, and Fayzbakhsh regarding the progress of the project implementation and the results achieved after the completion of two phases.
At the end of the event, the leadership of Shahrinav District and the heads of the pilot mahallas were awarded certificates of honor and letters of appreciation from the Committee for Local Development for their active participation in improvement and development activities aimed at the достойное celebration of the sacred national anniversary — the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
