On 27 January 2026, a press conference was held at the Committee for the Development of Local Self-Government under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, with the participation of a wide range of media representatives.
During the event, the leadership and responsible staff of the Committee’s structural divisions provided journalists with detailed information on the Committee’s activities in 2025, the implementation of state programs, the progress of socio-economic development projects in local communities, and the priority areas of work for the upcoming period.
It was noted that during the reporting period, the Committee, in cooperation with local executive authorities, relevant ministries and agencies, as well as development partners, undertook specific and targeted measures to strengthen the local self-government system, improve the efficiency of local governance, and enhance the quality of services provided to the population.
