A meeting was held in the conference hall of the Committee with the participation of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Social Development and Public Relations, Mr. Abullo Qurbonali Rahmonzoda, and the Senior Consultant of the Assistance Department, Orzu Zubaydullo Hamidiyon, on the topic of strengthening efforts to ensure a calm informational environment, maintaining peace and stability of national unity, promoting ideas of patriotism and national consciousness, implementing the plan of festive events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as enhancing beautification and construction efforts.
Following the opening remarks by the Chairman of the Committee, Sharifjon Jumazoda, the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on Social Development and Public Relations, Mr. Abullo Qurbonali Rahmonzoda, delivered a speech on the aforementioned topics. He shared his thoughts on the importance of celebrating the 35th anniversary of Independence, the construction of commemorative facilities, holding meetings and discussions, and launching information campaigns using the “village by village,” “district by district,” and “school by school” methods. He called on Committee staff to take greater responsibility for local development, to ensure the implementation of the construction plan, to address other pressing issues in the regions, and to cooperate more effectively and productively with central and local government bodies.
It should be noted that the Committee's staff studies the socio-economic development of cities and districts of the country every three months, as well as, in accordance with the instructions of the Leader of the Nation, the condition of institutions in such areas as education, healthcare, culture, industry, construction, and water supply to the population. They also monitor the condition of community buildings in urban and rural settlements, local community committees, and the implementation of presidential decrees and orders issued during working visits to cities and districts. Based on the analysis, reports are compiled to address shortcomings and propose practical measures, which are then sent to ministries and agencies, heads of working groups for organizing holiday events, as well as local executive bodies of state authority.
The Committee held an outreach meeting of the Advisory Council on the implementation of the Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Cities and Districts, with the participation of representatives from ministries and agencies, and local executive authorities of cities and districts of GBAO, Khatlon Region, and the cities of Bokhtar, Kulob, Hisor, Muminobod, Shamsiddin Shohin, Mirsaid Ali Hamadoni, Asht, Jaloliddin Balkhi, Fayzobod, Tursunzoda. The implementation process of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Local State Authorities” and the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Local Self-Government in Cities and Villages” was also reviewed in the cities and districts of Bokhtar, Istaravshan, Isfara, Khorugh, Rasht, Rudaki, Shahrinav, Tursunzoda, Yovon, Khuroson, Shughnon, Lakhsh, Shahritus, Kubodiyon, and Tojikobod. The results of the work carried out were submitted to the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
