In Lakhsh District, the spring potato planting campaign is continuing at a rapid pace. This year, according to the plan, planting is scheduled on an area of 3,320 hectares. To date, 568 hectares have already been planted, which is 520 hectares more compared to the same period last year.
Farmers are carrying out fieldwork within the established timeframes by using modern machinery and high-quality seeds. Compliance with agrotechnical requirements, including plowing, fertilization, and proper irrigation, contributes to increasing crop yields.
Lakhsh District is considered one of the key potato-growing regions, and its produce is supplied to meet domestic market demand as well as to other regions. This process plays an important role in strengthening the country’s food security.
