As part of the благоустройство initiatives carried out by the local executive authority of Lakhsh District, improvement and environmental clean-up activities are actively ongoing.
For this purpose, on April 4 of the current year, a local clean-up campaign was held in the Pilidon Rural Jamoat, in the village of Dustobod, with the participation of community activists and residents. As a result of their joint efforts, waste from surrounding areas was collected and transported to designated disposal sites.
At the same time, a similar initiative took place in the Vahdat Settlement Jamoat, in the Shirinchashma neighborhood. Local residents collectively gathered waste along irrigation channels and roads near agricultural lands and transported it to designated waste disposal areas.
According to Eraj Kamolov, head of the district’s environmental protection department, the clean-up campaign is ongoing and will continue to be implemented across all jamoats of the district.
