The Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan has launched another initiative aimed at supporting the development of Dushanbe and creating a greener and healthier urban environment. In cooperation with the Korea Forest Service, construction of a Cultural and Recreational Park has begun in Dushanbe.
The establishment of the park will contribute to expanding green spaces, improving the urban environment, and creating comfortable conditions for recreation and leisure for residents and visitors of the capital. At the same time, the park will serve as a venue for showcasing the culture, traditions, and national values of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.
The park is located in one of the central areas of the capital. During the first stage of construction, land preparation and the development of essential infrastructure will be carried out, including pedestrian walkways, an irrigation system, and landscaped green areas.
Modern green technologies will be used throughout the construction of the park. These will include a drip irrigation system, energy-efficient lighting, and environmentally friendly materials. Such measures will not only help conserve water and energy resources but also ensure the sustainable maintenance of the park’s green spaces.
The new facility will provide residents of the capital with opportunities for healthy recreation and family leisure, while also promoting a culture of the responsible and rational use of green spaces. Furthermore, the park has the potential to become an attractive tourist destination and contribute to the development of cultural and recreational services.
It is worth noting that the construction of the Cultural and Recreational Park was launched in commemoration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. According to the plan, the park is expected to be completed and commissioned by the end of 2026.
The implementation of this project represents a continuation of the Government’s ongoing efforts and initiatives, under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, to improve urban infrastructure, expand green spaces, create a healthy environment, and transform the capital into a greener and more beautiful city.
The initiative is not only an important urban development and environmental project, but also a symbol of friendship and expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea. In the future, the park is expected to host cultural events, art exhibitions, and programs showcasing the national traditions of both countries.
Thus, the construction of the Cultural and Recreational Park marks another step towards making Dushanbe a greener and more beautiful capital, while also serving as an example of effective international cooperation in environmental protection and the development of sustainable green spaces.
