Participation of employees of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the High-Level Conference China – Central Asia on Combating Desertification

Employees of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan actively participated in the High-Level Conference and International Seminar on China – Central Asia Cooperation in Combating Desertification, held in Yinchuan, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, People’s Republic of China.

Within the framework of the event, important issues such as combating desertification, land degradation, reducing the impacts of climate change, and implementing modern technologies for the restoration of natural ecosystems were discussed.

Participants from Central Asian countries and the People’s Republic of China exchanged best practices and discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the field of sustainable natural resource development.

During the conference, representatives of the Forestry Agency became familiar with the achievements and experience of the Republic of Tajikistan in forest management, restoration of degraded areas, and prevention of land degradation.

During the conference, official announcement was also made on bilateral cooperation between the China – Central Asia Cooperation Center on Combating Desertification and the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
