On 3 June 2026, the 14th Session of the Assembly of the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) officially commenced at the Kangurt Hotel in Dushanbe, bringing together representatives of member countries, development partners, and distinguished guests. The official opening ceremony featured remarks by Mr. Ziyozoda Sulaymon Rizoi, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan; Mr. Abdujabbor Ghayratsho Yusufzoda, Director of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan; Mr. Jon Song Sik, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Tajikistan; Dr. Park Chong Ho, Executive Director of AFoCO; as well as heads and representatives of the Organization’s member countries.
