On April 30 of the current year, a meeting was held between representatives of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and a delegation of the German Development Bank (KfW). During the meeting, key issues of cooperation in the forestry sector were discussed, including the implementation of joint projects, forest restoration and protection, and sustainable management of natural resources. The parties emphasized the need to accelerate project implementation, provide forestry enterprises with equipment and machinery, and introduce measures to reduce negative impacts, including livestock grazing in forest areas. Issues related to nursery development, establishment of a seed testing center, and improvement of financial management mechanisms were also discussed. The meeting was held in a spirit of mutual understanding and constructive cooperation, and the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen partnership.
