During cold winter days and heavy snowfalls, the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan implements important practical measures to protect wild animals and steppe birds.
In order to prevent the death of animals and ensure favourable conditions for their habitat in steppe areas and places where they are likely to be found, special feed is placed, including oilcake, alfalfa, grain crops, wheat, barley and other types of feed. These measures contribute to improving the feeding conditions of animals and birds during the cold season.
The implementation of such measures plays an important role in preserving biological diversity, protecting wildlife and ensuring the sustainable development of forestry.
