With the aim of implementing point 26 of the ‘Forest Industry Development Programme for 2022-2026’ on the creation of ‘green zones’ around the city of Dushanbe, in populated areas and along central highways in accordance with the instructions of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, on 20 December this year, with the participation of the Director of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Yusufzoda Abdujabbor Gayratshov, Extraordinary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Tajikistan Mr. Gao Zhijun, Chairman of the Committee of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan on Law Enforcement, Defence and Security Nasrullo Mahmudzoda, Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan Kurbonzoda Isojon, Deputy Chairman of the city of Vahdat Ghayurzoda Narzullo Faizulo and employees of organisations and institutions of the Agency conducted a planting campaign along the Dushanbe-Vahdat highway.
Approximately 10,000 shade-providing, evergreen, ornamental and fruit-bearing plants were planted in an area of more than 9 hectares. Work in this direction is continuing.
