Working visit of the head of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to Khuroson district
On 10 December 2025, the head of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan visited the Khuroson district (Fahrobod) and checked out how well forest land is being used, as well as how this year's seedlings are doing.
During the working trip, the head visited areas planted with thuja, pine and pistachio trees, highly appreciating the growth dynamics of the seedlings, the level of their care and the implementation of the annual plan for growing planting material. It was emphasised that the sustainable development of forestry is one of the key areas in preserving ecosystems, reducing the effects of climate change and expanding the country's green areas.
During the meeting with specialists and responsible persons, instructions were given to ensure the high-quality implementation of industry programmes, the expansion of nurseries and the rational use of each plot of land.
This visit is of particular importance for strengthening reforestation efforts and increasing the area of forest stands in the country.
