Participation of representatives of the Forestry Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the National Seminar — "Strengthening and greening the value chains of forest products in Tajikistan"

On November 18, 2025, a national seminar on "Strengthening and greening the value chains of forest products in Tajikistan" was held at the National Library of Tajikistan in Dushanbe.

The seminar was attended by representatives of the forestry agency, international organizations, experts and specialists who discussed issues related to the sustainable development of non-wood forest products, improved market access, certification, processing, inventory and their integration into the planning of multifunctional forest management.

Various programs were conducted during the workshop, including an analysis of the value chain of pistachios, almonds and walnuts, presentation of international experience, group sessions, discussion of financing opportunities and development of a roadmap to strengthen the industry.

This seminar is an important step towards the development of non-wood forest products, support for forestry and enhance the role of this industry in the country's economy.
