As part of the festive events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, a scientific and literary evening entitled “The Flight of Thought in the Works of a Bright Star of Modern Tajik Literature — Muhammad Goib” was held at the Execution Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The event began with an opening speech by the Head of the Service, who sincerely congratulated the staff on the auspicious occasion of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. It was emphasized that state independence, as a great historical achievement of the Tajik people, has created a solid foundation for the development of statehood, strengthening national self-awareness, peace and stability, and the comprehensive development of the country.
Following this, detailed information was presented about the life and fruitful creative activity of the renowned Tajik poet Muhammad Goib, his significant contribution to the development of modern Tajik literature, as well as the role of his works in promoting national values, patriotism, and national self-awareness.
During the continuation of the evening, the poet Muhammad Goib delivered a speech, emphasizing that the freedom and independence of present-day Tajikistan are the result of constructive efforts and the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon. According to the poet, even if a poet does not write about the achievements of the Leader of the Nation, the development and progress of the country itself serve as irrefutable evidence of His Excellency’s great efforts.
The poet also noted that being a poet is not an easy task, and in order to create worthy poetry, a poet must possess knowledge, a broad worldview, talent, and a high level of creative skill. In his view, poetry should not only express the poet’s feelings and thoughts, but also play an important role in the moral education of society, strengthening love for the Motherland, and promoting respect for national values.
During the evening, participants recited excerpts from the poet’s rich creative heritage, while selected passages from his poetry further enriched the literary and cultural atmosphere of the event.
At the conclusion of the event, poet Muhammad Goib presented the participants with copies of his literary works.
