With the aim of promoting a reading culture, developing intellectual and spiritual thinking, and fostering a deeper understanding among employees of the rich heritage of national literature, a reading circle titled “Interpretation of Meaning” was held at the Enforcement Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Within the framework of this event, the well-known work of the prominent Tajik literary figure Sadriddin Ayni — “Temurmalik” — was read and discussed by the participants. It was noted during the session that this work is one of the finest examples of Tajik historical prose, vividly depicting the bravery, courage, and patriotism of the Tajik people during the Mongol invasions of Transoxiana.
Participants emphasized that the central figure of the work is the national hero Temurmalik, the ruler of the city of Khujand, who, during one of the most difficult periods in history, courageously fought against the Mongol forces to defend his homeland and protect the honor and dignity of his people. As highlighted, Temurmalik, as a brave commander and wise leader, demonstrated strong resistance to the enemy over a long period through strategic military tactics and unwavering determination, serving as a remarkable example of patriotism and self-sacrifice.
During the discussion, participants shared their views on the content and themes of the work, including heroism, courage, loyalty to the homeland, and its educational significance. They stressed that reading such meaningful literary works plays an important role in moral education, strengthening national identity, and fostering a sense of patriotism.
At the conclusion of the event, it was noted that organizing such cultural and educational activities within the framework of the “Interpretation of Meaning” reading circle will continue in the future, contributing to the enhancement of reading culture and the enrichment of employees’ worldview.
