With the aim of promoting books and reading, enhancing the political, legal, and spiritual awareness of employees, and in fulfillment of the instructions of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the esteemed Emomali Rahmon — on encouraging society to engage in reading, an event titled “Shahnameh Recitation” was held within the framework of the “Bardoshti Ma’ni” circle at the Enforcement Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
During the event, the People’s Poet of Tajikistan, Ustod Rustam Vahhobzoda, and Deputy Head of the Enforcement Service, Dinora Jabborzoda, participated and spoke to employees about the great thinker Abulqasim Ferdowsi and the role of his immortal work, the Shahnameh, in strengthening national self-awareness and identity.
It was noted that the Shahnameh is one of the most valuable cultural, literary, and historical works, which, as a народная книга (people’s book), has survived to the present day thanks to the love, respect, interest, and reflection of generations, despite the trials of time and historical upheavals. This work is regarded as an outstanding artistic and literary masterpiece and a great school of national self-awareness and identity for all generations.
In this regard, on the initiative of the Great Leader of the Nation, the respected Emomali Rahmon, the first and second volumes of the immortal Shahnameh by Abulqasim Ferdowsi were newly published and distributed to every household in Tajikistan as a historical symbol, demonstrating the high culture and civilizational level of the Tajik people.
The significance of the work’s content, the history of its creation, the poet’s more than thirty years of dedication to composing this immortal masterpiece, and its role in fostering national self-awareness, patriotism, and love for the homeland—especially among adolescents and youth—were also emphasized.
Employees proudly recited poetic excerpts from the Shahnameh and gained deeper knowledge about this masterpiece.
In conclusion, following the guidance and good wishes of the Leader of the Nation, who stated: “May the light of the Shahnameh always shine in every home of the people of Tajikistan, and may Ferdowsi’s spirit of patriotism and aspiration for independence support our people in their creative endeavors during the period of independence and in strengthening modern statehood,” the staff expressed their determination to study this work more actively, master its themes, remember their past with pride, and build a bright future.
