From November 25 to 29, 2024, the 17th Plenary Meeting of the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes was held in Asunción, Paraguay, were over 360 representatives from 116 countries took part.
The Republic of Tajikistan was represented at this event by the First Deputy Chairman of the Tax Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan - Ayubjon Maruf Solehzoda.
The Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Purposes (hereinafter - Global Forum) is an international organization that unites 171 countries of the world.
The main goal of the Global Forum is to combat tax evasion and ensure the growth of tax revenues by implementing standards for the exchange of information.
Member countries of the Global Forum exchange information with each other upon request regarding specific taxpayers or automatically within established timeframes based on the Common Reporting Standard (CRS).
