On 11 May 2026, in Brussels, within the framework of a working visit, the Chairman of the Tax Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Davlatzoda Nusratullo Muqim, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Public Service Finance of the Kingdom of Belgium, Mr. Filip Van de Velde.
The meeting took place in the headquarter of the Federal Public Service Finance in Brussels, organized by the Federal Public Service Finance of the Kingdom of Belgium jointly with the International Monetary Fund.
During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues related to tax administration, reforms of the tax systems of the two countries, tax debt management, as well as prospects for the further development of bilateral cooperation between the tax authorities of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Belgium.
Chairman of the Tax Committee Davlatzoda Nusratullo Muqim informed the Belgian side about the main results of the tax reforms implemented in the Republic of Tajikistan in recent years. In addition, special attention during the meeting was paid to issues related to the digitalization of the tax sector.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties particularly emphasized the importance of continuing such contacts as one of the key factors for strengthening bilateral cooperation and effectively implementing joint initiatives. They also expressed confidence that further interaction would contribute to the sustainable development of the tax sector and the economies of both countries.
