Today, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the beginning of the conversation, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who initiated the telephone call, warmly congratulated the Head of State on his birthday and wished the Leader of the Nation good health and further success in his state activities.
During the conversation, the two Presidents discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-Uzbek relations of friendship and good-neighborliness within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance. They expressed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to further expand cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The Heads of State emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
They also exchanged views on other pressing issues of mutual interest.
