Today, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Russian Federation, His Excellency Vladimir Putin.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President of Russia warmly congratulated the Head of State on his birthday and conveyed his best wishes.
The Leader of the Nation expressed his gratitude for the warm congratulations and noted that he regards the good wishes as being addressed to the entire people of Tajikistan.
The Heads of State then discussed the current state and prospects of interstate relations between the two countries, which are based on the principles of strategic partnership and alliance.
The Presidents also exchanged views on other current issues of mutual interest.
