The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, has identified as a primary task of the state and the Government the issues of national self-awareness, respect for and protection of national values and sacred symbols, including independence and freedom, as well as the development of the homeland and the state, improving the standard and quality of life, and ensuring peaceful and stable living conditions.
Over the past five years, the glorious people of Tajikistan, in their aspiration to достойно celebrate the sacred 35th anniversary of State Independence, have demonstrated that they stand shoulder to shoulder with the state and the Government in building a civilized and advanced nation, and are firmly committed to leaving future generations a prosperous, beautiful and developed homeland.
According to statistical data for the past five years, thanks to the hard work and efforts, good initiatives of patriotic citizens, entrepreneurs and generous individuals, construction and improvement activities in the cities and districts of the country have gained unprecedented momentum, with more than 36,000 celebratory facilities commissioned.
Entrepreneurs and citizens have constructed and commissioned more than 1,200 industrial enterprises and production facilities, over 3,100 educational facilities, 1,050 healthcare facilities, 960 sports facilities, and 2,275 service facilities.
Overall, during the period of independence, entrepreneurs and generous individuals across the country have constructed, reconstructed and commissioned more than 3,300 industrial enterprises and production facilities, over 4,300 educational institutions, 2,200 healthcare facilities, 2,080 sports facilities, and 5,100 service-sector facilities.
The year 2026 is considered a particularly important and historic year for the people of Tajikistan, as this year the glorious people of Tajikistan celebrated the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The events held in honour of this great celebration in the capital of our country, the city of Dushanbe, were unique not only in the region but also on the international stage, further enhancing the authority of Tajikistan internationally.
The ancient history and culture of the Tajik people demonstrate that, since ancient times, Tajiks have been educated, peace-loving, hardworking and creative people, state-builders and civilizers, possessing a strong sense of national identity and self-awareness.
Therefore, every citizen should continue the work and deeds of their ancestors, fathers and mothers, strive for further development and improvement of their beloved homeland, create better conditions for the lives, education and upbringing of their children, and transform this process into a continuous practice and a nationwide culture.
The ultimate purpose of adopting this Decree is to further develop and improve our beloved homeland, raise the standard of living and well-being of the people of Tajikistan, and present the country to the world as a developed state with a rich history and ancient world culture.
