On the morning of August 14, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, held a telephone conversation with the Chairman of Darvoz District, Umedjon Nosirzoda.
During the conversation, the Leader of the Nation, respected Emomali Rahmon, expressed his condolences to the family of the young woman, Yatimzoda Jasmina, and issued relevant instructions to provide the family with material and moral support, as well as to ensure oversight of the upbringing of her minor child.
It was reported that on August 13, Yatimzoda Jasmina was killed as a result of shelling by armed individuals from the territory of Afghanistan.
Relevant authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
