Today, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, held a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Head of State of Tajikistan warmly congratulated the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health and continued success in his state activities.
In this context, the confident steps of brotherly Uzbekistan on the path of development and progress, as well as the consistent strengthening of its international standing, were emphasized.
The sides also discussed certain pressing aspects of Tajik-Uzbek relations within the framework of strategic partnership and alliance. The Leader of the Nation noted Tajikistan’s firm commitment to further expanding bilateral relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan in the spirit of long-standing traditions of friendship and good-neighborliness.
The Presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan discussed the schedule of upcoming meetings and contacts on the sidelines of international and regional events.
An exchange of views was also held on other issues of mutual interest.
