Dear Mothers and Sisters,
A mother is the beginning of a human’s existence, the creator and continuer of humanity’s life.
Her essence is filled with love, tenderness, and kindness, making a mother a great and sacred being throughout all times.
Great people of the world, from ancient times to the present day, have praised the mercy, virtue, modesty, hard work, and sleepless nights of mothers, glorifying their pure name.
We too always value the mission of mothers who give life, respecting their pure essence and good name.
At this solemn moment, I proudly remind you that chastity, wisdom, patience, and endurance — as the best national qualities — elevate the status of women in society, making them precious to every family and a pillar of support for its members.
The Founder of Peace and National Unity — the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon — emphasized in one of his speeches:
“A mother connects the cradle and the world, and with a pure soul and heart, cares for the life of the child, the welfare of the home, and the peace of society.”
Indeed, a mother’s heart is full of love, and in many cases, she forgives and shows mercy to her child’s mistakes.
The respected Leader always stresses:
“The words a mother says to her child, the love and care she shows, no one else can say or show such love and care.”
A mother opens the doors of knowledge and upbringing for the child, being their first teacher, selflessly striving for the peace, stability, and prosperity of the family, society, and state.
I also want to remind that the sacred concepts of “Mother” and “Motherland” are inseparably linked: it is the mother who gives birth to patriots and instills love for the homeland in the child’s heart from birth.
In our beloved Tajikistan, the work and dedication of mothers and women are deeply valued. Today, our women proudly and honorably work in all fields alongside men. Their contributions and sincere efforts are evident in all areas of public life.
The participation of women and girls in the development of science and education, culture, healthcare, agriculture, and other spheres of social and economic life is growing every year.
As stated by the Head of State in this year’s message to the Supreme Assembly, today women make up 25% of civil servants, 73% of education workers, 71% of healthcare workers, 47% of cultural workers, 37% of scientists, and 30% of entrepreneurs in the country.
At the Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Technologies of Tajikistan, 257 women work, including 23 scientists with academic degrees: 1 Doctor of Science, 22 Candidates of Science, 23 Masters, and 9 PhD doctors, who actively develop agricultural science.
We urgently need to take measures to attract young women to postgraduate, master’s, and PhD programs to prepare qualified women scientists, who are currently few, in order to increase the number of talented female specialists in agriculture.
As the great Iqbal said:
“A woman is a bright light in the home, the center of love, the embodiment of purity, an example of friendship, and a source of forgiveness.”
Dear women,
We admire the knowledge, talent, diligence, organizational skills, and expertise of the women of the Academy and its scientific institutions, who contribute to the development of the country’s agriculture. We are confident that you will continue to play a worthy role in implementing state policy, advancing science, and ensuring the prosperity of our homeland.
We love each of you, dear mothers and women, we are proud of the patriotism of our girls, and we are sure that you will continue to faithfully fulfill your important duties and make even greater contributions to the development and improvement of our beloved country.
Once again, from the bottom of my heart, I congratulate all of you — caring and loving mothers, happy and proud women, determined and patriotic girls — on Mother’s Day, wishing you strong health, long blessed life, happy destiny, and good fortune.
Happy Mother’s Day, dear mothers and sisters!
