Under this title, a ceremonial event was held at the Main Directorate for the Protection of State Secrets under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan to mark the adoption of the United Nations General Assembly Resolution entitled “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations,” put forward at the direct initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan under the wise leadership of the Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
The Head of the Main Directorate for the Protection of State Secrets, Mr. Sherali Mirzo, delivered a speech on the adoption of the Resolution of the United Nations General Assembly, proposed by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, entitled “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations” and adopted on 25 June 2026.
He noted that through this resolution, Member States reaffirmed their shared commitment to promoting peace, dialogue and solidarity between generations as important foundations for ensuring the well-being of future generations.
The resolution welcomes the contributions of Member States, leaders and peoples who, through inclusive political processes, confidence-building measures, post-conflict recovery and long-term investments in social cohesion, have contributed to strengthening peace, reconciliation, dialogue and national unity.
The initiative of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, is regarded as an important factor in ensuring the well-being of future generations of humanity and the development of countries through joint efforts, while preserving lasting peace and promoting respect for peace at all levels — from the family, society, country and region to international relations.
At the conclusion of the event, the Head of the Main Directorate congratulated the employees of the Main Directorate for the Protection of State Secrets and the entire proud people of the Republic of Tajikistan on the adoption of Tajikistan’s global initiative entitled “International Decade for Strengthening Peace for Future Generations, 2027–2036,” which demonstrates the country’s high standing in the international arena and the international community’s support for the global initiatives of our beloved Tajikistan.
