21 July 2026, Mongolia
Dear representatives of the media, Ladies and gentlemen,
First of all, I would like to once again express my gratitude to the respected President, Mr. Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, the Government and the people of Mongolia for their warm attitude and hospitality.
We attach great importance to the consistent development and strengthening of relations of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with friendly Mongolia in all areas of mutual interest.
We view today’s meetings and negotiations as a logical continuation of the interstate dialogue between our two countries.
We consider regular contacts at the highest and high levels as an important factor in creating favourable conditions for further expanding the agenda of bilateral relations between our countries.
In this context, we welcome the expansion of the legal framework of relations between our two countries through a new package of cooperation documents in areas of mutual interest.
Following the negotiations, a number of new documents were signed, strengthening the legal and contractual foundations of our cooperation.
During the talks, special attention was also paid to considering new ways and mechanisms for expanding trade and economic cooperation.
The promising areas identified include the processing industry, particularly light and food industries, energy, construction, agriculture, including the livestock sector, and a number of other real sectors of the economy.
In this regard, we discussed opportunities for the joint implementation of investment projects in these and other sectors of the economy.
At the same time, the need to increase the volume of bilateral trade and expand the structure of trade turnover was emphasized.
We consider the holding of the Second Forum of Business Circles of the two countries on the sidelines of the current State Visit as an important step in this direction.
We believe that the outcomes of this Forum and the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation will contribute to the activation of bilateral trade.
The Tajik side expressed its readiness to implement concrete measures in all the above-mentioned areas.
We assessed the further development of cultural and humanitarian ties as an important factor in strengthening the foundations of friendship between the peoples of Tajikistan and Mongolia.
In this regard, we expressed our interest in expanding interstate relations in the fields of science and education, culture, youth policy, tourism, sports, and other social sectors.
We welcomed the holding of the Days of Tajik Culture in Mongolia.
We advocate for the regular organization of such cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
During the negotiations, an exchange of views took place on current issues of the international and regional agenda.
We expressed our interest in continuing the constructive partnership between the two countries in order to find practical solutions to existing regional and international challenges.
Issues of ensuring peace and stability, security, and sustainable development were among the topics that received special attention.
Tajikistan, as a peace-loving country, has always advocated for lasting peace and stability, harmony and mutual understanding among nations.
Recently, at the initiative of Tajikistan, the UN General Assembly adopted a relevant resolution declaring 2027–2036 the “Decade of Strengthening Peace for Future Generations.”
In this regard, I express my gratitude to friendly Mongolia, which, along with our other international partners, supported this new initiative of Tajikistan.
Issues related to water resources and climate, particularly climate change and adaptation to its consequences, were also at the centre of our attention.
Tajikistan welcomes the holding of the 17th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (COP17), which will take place in August this year in the city of Ulaanbaatar.
We consider this event an important step towards strengthening global cooperation in the field of environmental protection.
We highly appreciate Mongolia’s continued efforts in this area.
We express our readiness to continue cooperation with the friendly country on the international stage, including within the framework of implementing Tajikistan’s global initiatives in the field of water and climate.
We are satisfied with today’s negotiations, which were held in an atmosphere of mutual understanding, trust and mutual respect.
We are confident that the results of these negotiations will contribute to the further strengthening and expansion of friendly ties and mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries.
In conclusion, I wish friendly Mongolia continued progress and prosperity, and its people peace, stability and growing well-being.
Thank you.
