On 21 July, the official welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, was held in the central square of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, which had been festively decorated in honour of the distinguished guest's State Visit.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, was warmly welcomed by the President of Mongolia, His Excellency Ukhnaagiin Khürelsükh, who invited him to the official podium.
The ceremony continued with a report by the Commander of the Honour Guard to the distinguished guest, the performance of the national anthems of the two countries, President Emomali Rahmon's inspection of the Honour Guard, the paying of respects to the State Flag of Mongolia, the introduction of the official delegations of both sides, and a ceremonial march-past by the Honour Guard units before the two Heads of State.
To mark the State Visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, a 21-gun salute was also fired.
