On May 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the President of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Xi Jinping, which states:
“Dear Mr. President, dear friend,
It was with great sadness that I received the news of the deaths and injuries of a large number of citizens of the friendly country as a result of a serious accident at one of the coal mines in Shanxi Province of the People’s Republic of China.
In connection with this grave tragedy, I express our sincere condolences and words of support to the families and relatives of the deceased. I also wish all those injured a full and speedy recovery.”
